I’m a London-based health journalist and editor with over a decade of experience. Currently, I work as Head of Features at New Scientist; previously I was Health + Wellness Director at Women’s and Men’s Health magazines.

Writing-wise, I’ve investigated the rise of psychedelic medicine targeting women, the latest science of advanced meditation, how spending six days in silence helped me to understand grief and why the ketamine therapy bubble burst.

I’m also experienced in moderating panels. At 2024’s How The Light Gets In festival I hosted a debate between ‘The Body Keeps the Score’ author and psychiatrist Bessel van der Kolk, neurobiologist Gina Rippon and physician-scientist John Ioannidis on the current medical paradigm, as well as a conversation with legendary psychotherapist Susie Orbach.

This spring I facilitated a discussion on clinical psychedelic practice at psychedelic conference Breaking Convention and last summer another on using psychedelic therapy to treat eating disorders at psychedelic medicine conference, PSYCH Symposium.

I’m regularly featured in media as an authority on women’s health, including on Jane Garvey and Fi Glover’s Times Radio show, and am active in the climate movement, as an organiser with grassroots group Fossil Free London.
